Bobby Swigert, a junior wide receiver on the Boston College Eagles football team, has suffered a left knee injury and is expected to miss several weeks of recovery time, the school announced on Friday. BC opens its season next Saturday.
The injuries keep coming for the Boston College Eagles football team, which announced on Friday afternoon that junior wide receiver Bobby Swigert has suffered a left knee injury and will miss several weeks.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior wide receiver Bobby Swigert has suffered a left knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, Coach Frank Spaziani announced today. Swigert appeared in all 12 games and led the Eagles in receiving last season with 44 catches for 470 yards and three touchdowns. (via Boston College Media Relations)
Swigert was high on the Eagles' depth chart at receiver and was expected to play an intricate role in the offense alongside receiver Colin Larmond Jr. and Alex Amidon. Swigert joins tight end Chris Pantale and defensive back Albert Louis-Jean as important members of the Eagles injured during training camp.
Boston College opens its season next Saturday against the Miami Hurricanes.
