Boston College Eagles sophomore defensive back Albert Louis-Jean has suffered a left foot injury and will miss several games while recovering, according to Eagles head coach Frank Spaziani. Louis-Jean suffered the injury on Monday, according to a press release.
Louis-Jean played in ten games last season, starting twice, and recorded 15 tackles (11 solo). He was being looked upon by many to anchor a weak and inexperienced Eagles' secondary.
This is the second major injury of the summer for Boston College, which also lost senior tight end Chris Pantale to a broken bone in his right foot. Pantale had surgery on Monday, August 13, and he is expected to miss eight weeks while recovering, meaning that he likely would not return until the Eagles' game against the Florida St. Seminoles on Oct. 13.
Boston College opens the regular season against the Miami Hurricanes on Sept. 1.
