Rolandan Finch and Harrison Jackson put on a show at the Boston College Eagles' first scrimmage of the summer on Saturday night inside Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, MA. BC opens the regular season on September 1 against Miami.

Rolandan Finch and Harrison Jackson stole the show in the Boston College Eagles' first scrimmage of the summer, with Finch rushing for 37 yards and catching a 15-yard touchdown pass and Jackson grabbing five footballs for 50 yards on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill.

Finch, a junior running back, will likely see more action this season with the departure of Eagles' all-time leading rusher Montel Harris, who transferred to Temple after being dismissed from the team. As for Jackson, a freshman wide receiver, he likely won't factor into the offense this year, unless he keeps up performances like his on Saturday.

Chase Rettig, the junior starting quarterback who worked with the first team, completed 6-of-10 passes for 51 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Finch. Josh Bordner, a sophomore quarterback, took snaps with the second unit and threw for 71 yards on 9-of-18 passing. Dave Shinskie, the senior backup quarterback, also fired a 49-yard pass in the scrimmage.

Defensively, sophomore defensive end Brian Mihalik had two tackles for a loss (one sack) and Kasim Edebali, Dillon Quinn and Kieran Borcich each had sacks. Jim Noel intercepted Rettig and Dominique Williams forced a fumble and nearly picked off Bordner.

"It was a good start, good first series and then it tailed off," Eagles coach Frank Spaziani said (via BCEagles.com). "We got soft and had some execution issues, but in general the scrimmage gives us a good idea where we're at right and we'll look to improve for the next one."
