Men's Wimbledon Final 2012: Roger Federer, Andy Murray Tied At Set Apiece As Rain Delays Match

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 Wimbledon Final between six-time champion Roger Federer and Great Britain's Andy Murray has, as expected, been delayed by rain and is currently undergoing a roof-closing process. The much anticipated match is tied at one set apiece, as Murray took the first set 6-4, while Federer answered with a second set victory of 7-5. The third set is tied a one game apiece with Federer leading 40-0 love in the third game.

The match is expected to be delayed for about 30 minutes and will resume around noon ET, as the roof at the All England Club will close and then the court then needs to be become climatized -- a process which helps limit the moisture inside the now enclosed stadium. The positive about the delay is that it will be the only one the Wimbledon Final will encounter and the match will be finished Sunday.
