So far, so good for the Americans who only trail China in the medal count 12 to 11. The U.S. has looked solid in many of the team events such as basketball and seems poised to take home much more hardware in the pool as well.

On Monday, countries will have a chance to add to their totals in the following events:

  • Men's 10m synchronized platform (diving)
  • Women's individual epee (fencing)
  • Men's team final (gymnastics)
  • Women's 57 kg (judo)
  • Women's 73 kg (judo)

  • Women's 100m backstroke (swimming)
  • Women's 100m breaststroke (swimming)
