Stu McNay and his sailing partner, Graham Biehl, hope to improve on their 13th place finish at the 2012 Beijing Olympics.
Newton, Mass., native Stu McNay will compete in sailing at his second Olympic Games in London from Aug. 2-10. McNay, along with his partner Graham Biehl, is hoping to improve on a 13th place finish at the 2008 Beijin Olympics.
The duo has been teamed up since 2005, and have recorded some impressive finishes since Beijing. The took second and fourth place in the 2009 and 2010 ISAF World Cup Series, respectively. In 2011 they were crowned North American Champions.
McNay will compete in the Men's 470 event, which will feature its medal race on Aug. 10. He is confident that he can help bring home another medal for the United States.
"We're continuing to refine different areas and are planning to put it all together in the first race," McNay told NBC Olympics. "We're going to keep getting better at the details that will help us."
