Stage 16 of the 2012 Tour de France is one of the hardest yet as riders enter the Pyrenees. The 197-kilometer trek features two Category H climbs, the highest level of difficulty in cycling, followed by two more Category 1 climbs in the final 60 kilometers, the latter of which descends into what should be a speedy finish.
Bradley Wiggins will wear the yellow jersey for a ninth straight day as the Tour's overall leader. He still holds a 2:05 lead over Sky Procycling teammate, Christopher Froome. Tejay Garderen is the top-ranked American rider at 6:57 off the lead.
Stage 16 will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network beginning at 6:30 a.m. ET. It will also be shown on Tour de France Live, available online with a subscription.
