The Connecticut Sun picked up their fourth win in a row on Wednesday night, beating the Washington Mystics to stay on top in the Eastern Conference.
Asjha Jones led the Connecticut Sun to an 85-73 win over the visiting Washington Mystics on Wednesday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena. It was the fourth win in a row for the Sun.
Jones led her team with 20 points. She shot 50 percent from the field and sunk both free throw attempts. She had seven total rebounds, five of them offensive rebounds. Tina Charles had 10 points and five rebounds. Kara Lawson was the only other player from the Sun to score in double digits, with 11 points.
Only two players from the Mystics scored in double digits. Michelle Snow led the team with 12 points.
The Sun have yet to lose to the Mystics this season, beating them four times following Wednesday night's win. It moves their record to 14-4 which is good enough for a three game lead in the Eastern Conference and tied with Minnesota for the best record in the league.
The Sun play the Chicago Sky on Friday night.
