Connecticut Sun Vs. Washington Mystics: Sun Cruise to 77-64 Win

Four players scored in double figures as the Connecticut Sun (10-3) defeated the Washington Mystics (2-10) 77-64 at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.

Asjha Jones led the Sun with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Mistie Mims added 15 points off the bench for Connecticut. Tina Charles had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Renee Montgomery chipped in 10 points. Monique Currie scored 21 points for the Mystics to lead all scorers.

The Sun only took a four point lead into the half, but a 12-0 run to start the third quarter essentially put the game away for good. The Sun were able to stretch the lead to 19 after the third quarter, and Washington was only able to cut the lead to 11 in the fourth.

The Sun will next head home to take on the Seattle Storm on Sunday, July 1st.
