Top seeds Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova advanced on Friday in Third Round action at Wimbledon 2012. No. 3 seed Roger Federer also advanced, though he struggled against early No. 29 Julien Benneteau. Federer is now just one win away from the 850th of his career.

Djokovic, who is defending his 2011 Wimbledon title, defeated No. 28 Radek Stepanek, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2

Federer came back to defeat No. 29 Julien Benneteau, 4-6, 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1

Sharapova had one of the easier days of the top seeds with a straight set victory over Su-Wei Hsieh, 6-1, 6-4.

The No. 3 women's seed, Agnieszka Radwanska, also had a win in straight sets when she defeated Heather Watson, 6-0, 6-2.
