U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson leads an impressive field at the 2012 Travelers Championship, which will be played this week at the TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell, CT.

Highly-regarded amateur Patrick Cantlay makes his professional debut this week at the 2012 Travelers Championship at the TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell, CT, but the field is highlighted by U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson.

Cantlay, the low amateur at the 2011 U.S. Open and 2012 Masters, decided to turn pro after two years at UCLA. He will make his professional debut during the first round Thursday in a pairing with Ryo Ishikawa and John Peterson, at the same course where he set an amateur single-round PGA tournament record by shooting a 10-under par 60 in the second round of last year's Traveler's Championship.

Simpson is headed right back into action less than one week after capturing his first major title at the Olympic Club this past weekend.

Players joining Cantlay and Simpson in the impressive field include Keegan Bradley, Matt Kuchar, Padraig Harrington, Bubba Watson, Charl Schwartzel and Vijay Singh. Fredrik Jacobson, last year's winner, will look to defend his title.
