Jordan Laguerre is leaving the UMass basketball program without ever playing a game.

UMass Minutemen guard Jordan Laguerre won't be with the team when the 2012-13 season rolls around.

According to Jeff Goodman via twitter, Laguerre left the team and isn't expected to transfer anywhere else after sitting out all of last year.

After being ruled academically ineligible for his freshmen campaign, UMass fans felt it was only a matter of time before they could see Laguerre take the court and fulfill his potential. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Laguerre left the team for personal reasons, according to Matt Vautour of the Amherst Bulletin.

The New Hampshire native was going to be in the mix to play some minutes this season coming off the bench, but now that role will have to be filled by someone else. However, Laguerre leaving does open up a spot on the roster for Isaac Freeman, a post player who signed a letter of intent this spring.
