In SI's latest 2012 NBA Mock Draft, UConn guard Jeremy Lamb has been projected to be selected by the Phoenix Suns with the No. 13 pick of the first round.
Here's what SI's Sam Amick said about the Suns picking Lamb (6-5, 179) at No. 13:
"While Waiters could be gone before the Suns have a chance to grab him, there is no shortage of talented two-guards from which to choose. Lamb is a smooth and athletic scorer (38-inch vertical) whose 6-11 wingspan gives him serious upside on the defensive end, too. He's jockeying for position here with Ross, whom I had going to Phoenix in Mock 1.0." (via SI)
Amick mentions Syracuse's Dion Waiters in his description of Lamb as the Suns are reportedly interested in the former Orange guard. It may still be possible for Lamb to go in the top ten of the draft. A mock draft at the end of May had Lamb to the Raptors who hold the No. 8 selection. SI had Lamb lower in an early mock, going to the Rockets at No. 16.
