Vermont native Keegan Bradley finished his Sunday round at the 2012 Players Championship from the TPC at Sawgrass with a 2-under-par 70 to finish 2-under-par for the tournament.
Bradley had five birdies and three bogies on Sunday to tie his 2-under-par round on Friday as his best round of the tournament. Bradley had a much better showing at this event than the 5-over-par performance he had last year. Bradley is currently tied for 35th.
Worcester, Mass. native Scott Stallings did not make the weekend after shooting a 3-over-par 75 on Friday which dropped him below the cut line of even par.
Matt Kuchar is the current leader at 13-under-par. He has a one shot lead on Martin Laird. Kuchar has played 12 holes on the day and Laird has played 16 holes.

The 2012 Players' Championship will begin Sunday without a local SB Nation Boston player in the running for the crown, but there will sure be a tone of drama to end the four-round, four-day tournament in Ponte Vedra, FL. Vermont native Keegan Bradley will begin the day 12 shots back of leader Kevin Na, who's at 12-under par and one shot ahead of Matt Kuchar (-11).
The two leaders will tee off at 2:45 p.m. ET, and will have some breathing room from the next three players -- Rickie Fowler (-9), Ben Curtis (-7), Zach Johnson (-7) -- but not much. Meanwhile, Tigers Woods (-2) will need a miraculous final round score to have a chance, but Phil Mickelson (-4) is still in contention, however, will need to shoot low to have a chance.
Bradley's tee time for Sunday is at 10:15 a.m., while Woods will begin his final round at 11:25 a.m., Mickelson is off at 1:17 p.m. and the leaders will tee of between 2-2:45 p.m.
TV coverage for the event begins at noon ET on the Golf Channel, and at 2 p.m. the broadcast will switch over to NBC for its conclusion.

Matt Kuchar looked very good for most of the third round of the 2012 Players Championship, but late in the day he made a few mistakes at inopportune times and Kevin Na was there to capitalize. Na shot par on 13 of the first 15 holes, and when Kuchar went 1-over on the last four holes, Na went 2-under to seize the lead. Given that they are separated by a single stroke, you could point to the legendary hole 17 as the difference maker. Kuchar lost a stroke when his first shot came up short and went into the drink, but Na managed to land just inside, and with his ball settling at the very edge of the green he managed par.
Third place is occupied by Rickie Fowler, who was the talk of the tournament as he shot 14 places up the leaderboard. He posted a 66 on the day, leaving him at 9-under overall and with great momentum heading into the final round. Na's momentum isn't so bad either, but Kuchar is going to have to shake off his late struggles and try to rebound in Sunday's round.

Keegan Bradley shot a disappointing 74 on Saturday in the Players Championship at TPC at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The native of Woodstock, Vermont had previously shot a 72 on Thursday and was feeling good after his 70 on Friday:
Grinded it out today. Feels so good!In a good position going into the weekend. Playing with @tigerwoods tomorrow at 1125 #PGATOUR
— Keegan Bradley (@Keegan_Bradley) May 12, 2012
Unfortunately it didn’t carry over into Saturday’s play. Birdies on the 7th, 8th and 11th hole couldn’t offset the double bogey he shot on the 14th.
Keegan’s partner on Saturday, Tiger Woods finished with an even 72 the day after he also barely made the cut at the Players Championship. Woods was in danger of missing two cuts in a row after last week’s disaster at Quail Hollow.

Rickie Fowler has exploded out of the gate at TPC Sawgrass on Saturday, shooting a minus-6 through his first 11 holes to take a share of first place at the 2012 Players Championship. Fowler began the day with birdies on three of the first five holes and has yet to record a bogey. He is tied with Matt Kuchar who is minus-1 through two holes.
Of local interest, Keegan Bradley has yet to make a move toward the top of the leaderboard, as he has been stuck at minus-1 through much of the day.
Right behind Fowler atop the leaderboard are Zach Johnson and Kevin Na who both just teed-off. They currently sit one shot back at minus-8.
