Masters 2012 Purse: Bubba Watson's Championship-Winning Shot Made Him A Lot Of Money

Bubba Watson is your 2012 Masters champion, and not only did the left-handed long-driver earn the right to wear the green jacket for the rest of his life, he also won a lot of money in the process. Over at SBNation.com, there's an unofficial list of the purse winnings for the champion, which says Watson will earn a paycheck for about $1.5 million.

Watson also gets to make the claim he hit one of the best shots in major championship history and a lifetime exemption to the Masters.

Meanwhile, for second place, Louis Oosthuizen will cash a check for about $850K, while Phil Mickelson will be one of four players that tied for third place, earning about $285K.
