The Boston Bruins face a win-or-go-home scenario Sunday, when they face the Washington Capitals in Game 6 of a first-round, Stanley Cup Playoff contest at the Verizon Center (3 p.m. ET on NBC). The No. 2-seeded Bruins will need to somehow avoid a loss and bring the best-of-seven series back to the TD Garden for Game 7.
On Saturday, Boston was clipped by the Capitals 4-3 in Game 5, which had its scoring capped by a goal by Troy Brouwer with 1:27 to go in regulation. The tally allowed Washington to earn a 3-2 series lead a place Boston in a must-win situation.
