Jason Repko Injury: Red Sox Outfielder Has Slightly Separated Shoulder

Stay connected for news and updates

According to Gordon Edes of ESPN Boston, Jason Repko suffered a slightly separated shoulder in the Red Sox game against the Yankees on Friday.

Repko is a 31 year old outfielder who was recently called up from triple A. In 11 plate appearances this season, he's batting .091 and swinging and missing at nearly 16 percent of the pitches he's seen.

Before being called up, Repko was ripping the cover off the ball in the minors. In 14 plate appearances he was hitting a scorching .538 with one home run and two runs batted in. His isolated power was .308 and had an OPS of 1.418. The small sample size and sky-high BABIP indicated that he was fortunate to put up those numbers.
