With a new month comes a new focus, and the Bruins will certainly have to come up with a new alignment if they hope to enter the playoffs with any kind of swagger, and the Devils are their first target.

It was a shaky month of February for the Bruins, after they only went a less-than-impressive 5-7-1 in thirteen games. They lost Nathan Horton for the entire month, and have had some generally uncharacteristic trends haunting them. It was their first losing month since October.

But they are hoping to change that all, starting against the New Jersey Devils tonight.

It seems one of the trends for this team starts right at the beginning of everything they do. For example, they have won the first game of every month (except for February) and have gone on to have a winning record within that month. Their first game in February was a 3-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. While that might be a coincidence, there's no doubt that the beginning of the month is a time to refocus and get the ball rolling again.

Fortunately for the Bruins, they will be facing off against a Devils team they have already had some success against this year. Outscoring them 14-5 in three games, the B's will take on New Jersey at TD Garden and create some momentum that can carry them through the next month, month and a half.

The puck drops at 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on NESN and aired on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
