Bruins Vs. Rangers Score Update: B's Dominate Second Period, But Don't Have A Goal To Show

After forty minutes of hockey, the Bruins still find themselves down 2-0, despite having an overwhelming advantage in shots. In the second period alone, Boston put up 14 shots and only allowed the Rangers 5. However, they didn't score, and therefore their total shot advantage (24-17), means little.

The second line--the Patrice Bergeron, Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand had a couple of near goals. getting the crowd riled and on their feet, but nothing came from it.

Milan Lucic, Rich Peverley and David Krejci provided the same spark, one time creating complete mayhem in front of the net. Though the puck was in the crease for the better part of five seconds, Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist never covered the puck, so there were bodies sprawled over the crease without the puck ever going in.

Play did get a little heated torwards the end of the period as Peverley and Marc Staal both went into the penalty box for roughing after knocking each other after the whistle. Peverley cross checked Staal after Staal pushed over a bent over Lucic.

Both teams start at even strength entering the third period.
