Bill Belichick Places Third At 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

Bill Belichick, along with professional partner Ricky Barnes, came within three strokes of winning the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on Sunday. Unfortunately, glory was snatched away from him for the second time this week, with the pairings of Brian Harman and Gregg Ontiveros, and Padraig Harrington and J.P. McManus going on to split the amateur title.

He came in first where it really mattered, however, beating out fellow head football coaches Nick Saban and Bob Stoops. Belichick of course added his own special brand of flair to the proceedings, wearing his signature hoodie with the sleeves rolled in during play. After the final round, Belichick sat down with Saban and managed to actually put a smile on his face and say nice things about his time at the tournament.

"It's awesome," Belichik said. "It's great to spend time with Nick and the pros here. Just to be out here at Pebble Beach."

"It's been tough," he added. "It's a tough couple days, but Pebble Beach is a great spot to take your mind off some of the troubles we had."
