The Northeastern Huskies fell behind in the first period, but that was the last time they would play from behind as they trumped the host Harvard Crimson, 5-1, on Saturday night at Bright Hockey Center in Cambridge, Mass. With the win, the Hounds improve to 6-9-1, while the 4-5-1 Crimson drop under the .500 mark for the first time this season.

NU also held a shots on goal edge for the first time since Nov. 18 at Vermont, 38-35, in the contest. The count for the final period also favored the Huskies, 14-12.

The win was NU's fourth in five games in the all-time series and marked its first in Cambridge since Jan. 12, 1978.

At 5:31, freshman Kevin Roy made a great move to the net, wheeling around the defense and beating junior Raphael Girard in tight space off an assist from sophomore Josh Manson.

Junior Cody Ferriero already posted a natural hat trick in the second period, but made it a four-goal game to set a new career-high in points, as he took the feed from Roy and beat Girard (24 saves) under the bar at 7:41.

In addition to Ferriero, Roy also had himself a night as he posted four assists as well as his goal. The Lac-Beauport, Quebec native is the first Husky to record a five-point game since Mike Morris and Jason Guerrero turned the trick in the same game - an 8-3 win over UMass on March 5, 2005.
