NBA scores: Celtics defeat Nets on Christmas

The Boston Celtics won their only game they played in the last three days, defeating the Brooklyn Nets on Christmas.

The Boston Celtics played one game the past three days, winning against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center 93-76 on Christmas. The win pushed the Celtics to 14-13 on the season. Rajon Rondo led the Celtics with 19 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists, while Jared Sullinger scored 16 points off the bench.

Brooklyn lost another game on Wednesday, falling to the Milwaukee Bucks 108-93. The loss sent the Nets to 14-14 on the year after stating the season 11-4. Brooklyn had problems guarding Brandon Jennings, who scored 25 points on 9-15 shooting.

The New York Knicks split their pair of road games to start the week, losing 100-94 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, but defeating the Phoenix Suns 99-97 on Wednesday. J.R. Smith scored 27 points and sank two difficult shots in the last minute to win the game for the Knicks.
