Boston College vs. Boston University final score: Terriers bounce Eagles from win column, 4-2

The host Boston University Terriers were not content with just scoring for the 122nd game in a row (a new NCAA Division I record) as they beat the archrival and top-ranked Boston College Eagles at Agganis Arena for the first time since Jan. 17, 2009 with a 4-2 victory on Friday night.

BC held an 11-8 shots edge in the period, but was at a 37-34 disadvantage for the contest overall.

With the victory, the Terriers were able to snap the Eagles' ten-game winning streak that dates back to an Opening Night loss on Oct. 13 at Northeastern. BC head coach Jerry York was also unable to tie the legendary Ron Mason for first all-time in NCAA Division I with his 924th victory.

BU's outstanding rookie blue liner Matt Grzelcyk put the Terriers ahead by a comfortable margin just 1:46 into the third period as he posted his second goal of the season, both of which have come on the road at the hands of Parker Milner and the Eagles.

The Charlestown, Mass. native and Boston Bruins prospect led a rush down the left wing with senior captain Wade Megan and beat Milner on the crease as he leaned against his right post.

Alexx Privitera was called for a double minor with less than two minutes remaining in the period, but the Terriers were able to tally the empty-netter on the shorthand as Megan took a pass from sophomore Cason Hohmann for the winner.

BC sophomore Johnny Gaudreau beat O'Connor on a rebound with 24 seconds remaining, but it was not enough.
