Boston College vs. Wake Forest score: Eagles trail 14-0 after first quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

The Boston College Eagles came out sloppy on the road against Wake Forest and paid the price, falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter.

Quarterback Chase Rettig has already thrown two interceptions and completed just six passes for 68 yards so far. The Eagles have run the ball two times for a loss of five yards.

Tanner Price has been great for the Demon Deacons, going 11-for-20 for 96 yards and two touchdown scores. He connected with Michael Companaro on the team's second drive of the game for a five-yard touchdown strike. Price then hit Campanaro again, this time from 27 yards out to make the score 14-0.

Boston College put together a decent drive to end the first quarter, but it was halted with a turnover on downs around the 35-yard line. The Deacons now have the ball and will look to put the game out of reach early.
