After a 13-6 loss to the South Florida Bulls on Saturday, UConn football fans aren't too happy with how the team is competing this season.
The Huskies are 3-6 overall but have yet to win a game in the Big East, standing at 0-4 in the conference. The loss to the Bulls was the team's fourth straight. UConn hasn't won a game since it beat Buffalo, 24-17, on Sept. 29.
Most fans at UConnBlog.com weren't happy with the team's coaching decisions in the loss:
Perhaps my sheer hatred of this coaching staff is leading to some bias on my part ... Scratch that it certainly is. What's the opposite of UConn blue tinted glasses?
It's finally over... Only Uconn could give USF two INT's, their only 2 of the year. One more loss to a new coach my friends, would have been worse if we won.
UConn managed just two field goals in the loss. Chad Christen hit a 50-yarder in the second quarter and a 37-yarder in the third quarter. The Huskies never owned a lead in the game.
Although UConn had just two field goals, the Huskies finished with more yards than the Bulls. UConn had 327 total offensive yards, while USF had just 283.
UConn quarterback Chandler Whitmer finished the day 24-of-38 for 284 yards and two interceptions. Lyle McCombs was the team's leading rusher, picking up 47 yards on 18 carries.
Geremy Davis was Whitmer's favorite target. Davis caught seven passes for 98 yards.
The Huskies will try to snap their four-game losing streak against Pittsburgh (4-5) at home Friday.
