Boston College vs. N.C. State final score: Wolfpack cruise in 2nd half, 27-10

Mike Glennon is deadly with a short field. The NC State quarterback had three touchdown passes from inside the 25-yard line in the Wolfpack's 27-10 victory over Boston College. The Eagles didn't help themselves much, turning the ball over three times and failing to capitalize on NC State's early offensive struggles.

BC lead 3-0 after a sluggish first half, but were quickly overmatched in the second quarter when Glennon's first touchdown went to Quintin Payton and Chase Rettig's last pass of the second half was returned for a touchdown. The Wolfpack never relinquished their 14-3 halftime lead.

Tobias Palmer caught seven passes on the day for 56 yards, including Glennon's final two touchdowns. Both occurred in the third quarter and put the game away for NC State.

Quarterback Chase Rettig really struggled for the Eagles, completing just 16 of his 45 passes on the day, good for 35.6%. Boston College was three of fifteen on third down and failed to convert their only fourth down attempt on the day

The win brings the Wolfpack to 4-4 in the ACC and 7-5 overall. The loss closes out a disappointing season for Boston College, who only won one of eight conference games and just two on the season.

Boston College vs. N.C. State score update: Eagles trail the Wolfpack 14-3 at the half

After an overtime loss last weekend against Virginia Tech, the Boston College Eagles look to close out their season with a win against North Carolina State. After a sluggish first half, BC trails the Wolfpack 14-3.

NC State's lone offensive touchdown came on a Quintin Payton reception from quarterback Mike Glennon. Payton's 4-yard score was just his second on the season despite having 44 receptions coming into the game.

BC quarterback Chase Rettig has struggled, just 10 of 29 passing for 84 yards with two interceptions. The second was returned 56 yards for a touchdown by David Amerson in the closing minute of the half.

The Eagles are one of ten on third down, which has led to seven punts. The Wolfpack themselves are one-of-nine on third down, but a key fourth down conversion led to Payton's touchdown.

The Wolfpack have outgained the Eagles thus far, 176 to 171. Glennon is 13 of 23 for NC State, with 137 yards and the game's lone touchdown pass.

The Eagles are seeking their second win in conference play and their third overall.
