Examining the latest round of bowl game projections.

The past week in college football shook up the BCS rankings. For the first time since 2007, both the No. 1 and No. 2 teams (Kansas State, Oregon) lost on the same day. For teams that were likely going to be left on the outside looking in at the BCS National Championship, there is now hope.

The latest round of bowl game projections from Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has Notre Dame facing off with Alabama for the title on January 7. The Fiesta Bowl will pit Kansas State against Stanford. Two storied programs will battle for the Sugar Bowl when LSU takes on Oklahoma. With the game being played in New Orleans, one would think the Tigers would have a serious home crowd advantage.

The Orange Bowl would pit Florida State against Louisville. Palm believes FSU will win the ACC, while the Cardinals will take the Big East. Finally, the Oregon Ducks will battle Nebraska for the Rose Bowl.
