Stateside again, the Boston Celtics will play their first NBA opponent of the preseason when they face the New York Knicks on Saturday night at the XL Center in Hartford, CT (7:30 p.m. ET; CSNNE).

Boston (1-1) played its first two preseason games overseas, losing to Fenerbache in the opener but rebounding to defeat Milano. Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger all played well during the overseas trip, which the team used to bond during training camp.

New York is 1-0 in preseason play after defeating the Washington Wizards, 108-101, on Thursday. Carmelo Anthony scored 17 points on 4-of-9 shooting in 21 minutes and Tyson Chandler had 13 points and four boards for the Knicks, who shot 47.2 percent as a team. Steve Novak nailed 7-of-7 three pointers for 21 points and J.R. Smith added 20 points off the bench for New York.

The Celtics face the 76ers on Monday and the Nets at home Tuesday.
