Carl Crawford will return to Tampa Bay for the first time since he was acquired by the Red Sox as a free agent as Boston heads down to Florida to take on the Rays.
The last time these two teams faced, the Sox were sitting at 2-7, the Rays at 1-8. Since then, they've gone a combined 71-42 to claim first and third place in the AL East respectively.
Now the Red Sox are headed into Tampa on the back of a 9-game winning streak to try and put the Rays in a deeper hole. But Tampa is prepared, with manager Joe Maddon having lined up his three best starters for the series, ready to try and make a run at first place.
