NCAA Tournament Bracket Update: UNC, Duke, Ohio State Among Sunday's Early Winners

UNC, Duke and Ohio State all emerged victorious in their games in the Round of 32 in the 2011 NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

The second-seeded Tar Heels evaded No. 7 Washington, 86-83. Tyler Zeller had 23 points and Harrison Barnes added 22 points for North Carolina (28-7), which shot 47% from the field. Kendall Marshall (14 assists) and Dexter Strickland both scored 13 points and John Henson added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Heels. 

Terrance Ross had 19 points and Matthew Bryan-Amaning scored 14 points for Washington (24-11), which made 33-of-72 field goals (45.8%).

In Charlotte, No. 1 seed Duke cruised past No. 8 seed Michigan, 73-71, in a rematch of the 1992 NCAA national championship game. The win marked Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski's 900th career win. Nolan Smith scored 24 points and Kyle Singler added 13 points and eight rebounds for Duke (32-4). Darius Morris scored 16 points to lead the Wolverines (21-14).

In the last early game of the day, No. 1 seed Ohio State toppled No. 8 seed George Mason, 98-66, in Cleveland. David Light scored 25 and both William Buford and Jared Sullinger (eight rebounds) had 18 points for the Buckeyes (34-2), who shot a sizzling 61% from the field. Cam Long scored 16 to leads George Mason (27-7).
