Corey Trivino Arrest: BU Hockey Star Facing Six Separate Charges

Corey Trivino, a senior forward on the Boston University men's hockey team, is facing six separate charges after he was arrested on Sunday for breaking and entering and assault with attempt to rape a fellow classmate.

Trivino allegedly entered the room of a female Boston University student on Sunday night while intoxicated where he is said to have kissed the woman without her consent. He has been charged with three counts of indecent assault and battery, two counts of breaking and entering in the night time and one count of assult with the intent to rape. (via College Hockey News)

Trivino, who leads the team in points (17) and leads Hockey East in goals (13), has been kicked off the team and appeared in Brighton District Court along with his family on Monday, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

"This will be a big hole to fill," BU coach Jack Parker told BU Today. "And there's an emotional hole also."

Trivino will be allowed to continue attending classes until he is either suspended or expelled from school, according to Boston University Dean of Students Kenneth Elmore, who said the Trivino's case would be brought before Judicial Affairs.

"We appreciate that the judge in this case takes the matter seriously," Elmore said (via BU Today). "He used his process and we will use ours as fast and as thoughtfully as we can to carefully listen to all the charges and make sure that no one is harmed."
