The UConn Huskies are deadlocked with the Syracuse Orange 7-7 at halftime of their Big East showdown. It has a sloppy first half that has seen each team commit multiple turnovers (five for the Huskies, two for the Orange) and multiple penalties (three for each team).
The Huskies have racked up 149 total yards compared to 156 gained by the Orange. Each team has had possession of the ball for nearly identical times – 15:04 for UConn and 14:49 for Syracuse.
UConn quarterback Johnny McEntee has completed five of eleven passes for 63 yards, including a touchdown and two interceptions. Running back Lyle McCombs is well on his way to another 100 yard rushing game – his sixth of the season – with 89 yards on 14 carries.
The Huskies have to consider themselves lucky to be tied despite committing five turnovers ... in the first half!
