Boston College freshman Patrick Heckmann will reportedly return to action on Monday night when the Boston College Eagles host the Massachusetts Minutemen in the annual Battle for the Commonwealth Cup.

The news was first reported by Eric Hoffses of Eagle Action on Twitter, who said the following: "I’m hearing that Patrick Heckmann will give it a go tonight. I wouldn’t expect him to be 100% thought."

Heckmann, who was day-to-day with a left ankle injury that caused him to miss BC’s game against Holy Cross on Friday, had a terrific debut in the Eagles’ season-opening win over UNH last Monday, totaling 19 points and eight rebounds.
