CHESTNUT HILL - Denver scored twice in the early stages of the period, but Boston College responded with a late goal to bring the Eagles within one goal, 3-2, at the end of the second period at a sold out Conte Forum.
Beau Bennett scored his first goal of the season 55 seconds into the second period, putting Denver up 2-1. Bennett's goal was assisted b Paul Pillips and Scott Mayfield. The Pioneers added another goal at 8:49 of the middle period on a strike from Drew Shore, assisted by Jason Zucker (who scored Denver's first goal in the first period).
Kevin Hayes found the back of the net for the first time this season for BC, bringing the Eagles within one goal at 17:13. Hayes' goal was assisted by Barry Almeida, who scored the Eagles' first goal in the first period.
Parker Milner had four saves in the second period to bring his two period total up to nine for Boston College. Adam Murray had seven saves in the period and now has 13 saves in the game for Denver.
