2011 NFC Championship Game: Green Bay Packers Visit Division Rival Chicago Bears

Stay connected for news and updates

Before Sunday evening's New York Jets-New England Patriots game in the AFC, the other side of the NFL Playoffs bracket was decided, with the matchup set for the 2011 NFC Championship Game

In a cold and snowy Soldier Field, the Chicago Bears downed the upstart Seattle Seahawks, 35-24, in a game that wasn't as close as the final score indicates. The Bears, the No. 2 seed, will be hosting the No. 6 seed Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship, after Aaron Rodgers and company went to Atlanta and trounced the Falcons, 48-21.

The NFC Championship Game is set for Jan. 23, at 3 p.m. EST on FOX (Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are your announcers). It will be just the second playoff meeting of these longtime rivals (the Bears got the better of the Packers in 1941).

In an interesting twist, the Bears -- the home team -- has opened as the underdogs, with the Packers being made 3-point favorites.
