Boston College Releases 2010-11 Basketball Schedule
On Thursday, Boston College released its schedule for the upcoming 2010-11 basketball season, which features at least 10 nationally-televised contests and is highlighted by the Old Spice Classic, hosting Indiana as part of the ACC-Big 10 Challenge, and South Carolina on New Year's Day.
The Eagles will open play at home Friday, Nov. 12, against St. Francis (N.Y.) before taking on Yale from the Ivy League six days later.
BC will head south to Orlando for the Old Spice Classic, Nov. 25-28, where they'll open with Texas A&M on Thanksgiving Day. The Eagles' schedule has plenty of local flavor, in addition to Yale, with games at home against Holy Cross (Nov. 22), Providence (Dec. 8), Bryant (Dec. 19) and Harvard (Jan. 5), while playing Massachusetts in the TD Garden (Dec. 4) and at Rhode Island (Dec. 29).
Additional highlights, via our excellent blog, BC Interruption:
ACC play begins Dec. 12, at Maryland, takes nearly a month off, and then starts back up Jan. 8, at home against Georgia Tech.
The 2010 ACC Championship is set for March 10-13, at the Greensboro Coliseum.
