Jarrod Saltalamacchia Heading To The DL, Dusty Brown Called-Up

The position of Red Sox catcher has become a dangerous profession. For the third time in 2010, Boston has been forced to send a backstop to the disabled list, placing Jarrod Saltalamacchia on the 15-day DL with a lower leg infection. Dusty Brown has been called up from Pawtucket to take his roster spot.

There has been no word yet on what caused the infection, but Brown was present on the field at Fenway during team pictures this afternoon.
