On Friday afternoon, ESPN's Mike Reiss reported that Patriots DE Ty Warren could require season-ending hip surgery. An hour after that report, the Patriots made it official putting Warren on injured reserve ending his season.
His hip surgery isn't expected to be career-threatening.
With Warren's roster spot, the Patriots reinstated LB Derrick Burgess to the active roster.
