It appears that not all Boston-area college football programs are underappreciated by the media in the preseason.

The Harvard Crimson football team was selected to win the 2010 Ivy League football title as part of the media's preseason poll released on Tuesday.

The Crimson compiled a 7-3 overall record and 6-1 mark in the Ivy League last season. They return 11 starters from a team that finished second to the Penn Quakers. Harvard earned 10 first place votes out of a total of 17, narrowly taking the top-spot from the defending league champs.

Here are the results from the preseason media poll:

1. Harvard (10) 128
2. Penn (6) 124
3. Brown 95
4. Yale (1) 83
5. Columbia 61
6. Princeton 55
7. Dartmouth 39
8. Cornell 27
