Carlos Delgado Goes Hitless In Minor League Debut

Stay connected for news and updates

Over the weekend, the Red Sox decided to take a chance on a former superstar, signing Carlos Delgado to a minor league deal. On Monday, he made his debut with Triple-A Pawtucket in a game at Scranton Wilkes-Barre.

The 38-year old was the designated hitter and batted fourth. Unfortunately, his debut was not a huge success. Delgado went 0-for-3 with a strike out.

Delgado, signed as a hopeful replacement after Kevin Youkilis was lost for the season, will be with Pawtucket for Tuesday's game at the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
