Boston College's mens basketball team faced its first true challenge of the 2010 season when it faced Texas A&M in the first round of the Old Spice Classic on Thanksgiving Day.

They passed the test with flying colors, edging the Aggies 67-65 to advance to the semifinal round where they will face the Wisconsin Badgers in Kissimmee, Florida on Friday at noon (ESPN).

The Badgers (3-1) advanced to the second round of the tournament with a 50-35 win over Manhattan on Thursday afternoon. Jon Leuer scored a game-high 16 points in the Badgers' win.

Wisconsin won its first two games at home against Prairie View A&M (99-55) and North Dakota (85-53) before losing to UNLV (68-65) in its first road game. The Badgers got back on track with their win over Manhattan on Thanksgiving Day, and will look to build their win streak to two games with a victory against Boston College.

The Eagles (3-1) defeated St. Francis (NY) in their season-opener at Conte Forum but lost to Ivy League foe Yale in their second game. Boston College rebounded with a win against Holy Cross before defeating Texas A&M on Thursday.

Boston College and Wisconsin have faced each other five times before, with the first meeting coming in the 1959-60 season. The Eagles trail the all-time series 2-3, but they won the last meeting 74-72 on December 27, 1985 in Tuscon, Arizona.
